Solution Details You can extract data from a Banner form to a spreadsheet. The extracted data can be saved in a Comma Separated Value (.csv) format. Once Banner data is in a spreadsheet, you can easily graph and report the data. The extracted data can be displayed as text in a new browser window. 2) Enter the appropriate URL and press ENTER. 3) Enter the appropriate user name and password. 4) Press Enter. (The 'SCT Banner' main menu appears.) 5) In the 'Go To' box, enter 'GUAUPRF'. (The 'General User Preferences Maintenance' form appears.) 6) Click the 'Directory Options' tab. (The 'Directory Options' tab appears.) 7) Locate the record with the description as 'Internet Native data extract format: FILE (.csv)'. 8) In the 'User Value' box, enter 'FILE', if you want your extracted data to be placed into a file in comma separated value format. 9) Locate the record with the description as 'Enter the name of your Web Output URL'. 10) In the 'User Value' box, enter the URL that contains the logic used to pull extracted data from the database and display it in a browser window. 11) Click 'OK'. |
