Cause of Error

This behavior occurs because the reference to the underlying table that is associated with the current data block is incorrect.
Solution Summary

Make sure the table or synonym name is spelled correctly in the block's Property Palette and if necessary, the owner is included in the reference in the . format. Rerun the form to update the record.
Solution Details

1) If necessary, start Form Builder, and then open the form in Form Builder.
2) In Object Navigator, click the plus sign (+) to expand the form, if it is not already expanded, and then expand the 'Data Blocks' node.
3) Right-click the appropriate data block, and then click 'Property Palette'.
4) In the 'Query Data Source Name' box under 'Database', make sure that the name is spelled correctly and that, if necessary, the owner is included in the reference in the following format:

  where is the user name of the table or synonym owner and is the table or synonym name.
  NOTE: If the synonym is a public synonym, you do not need to include the owner in the reference.
5) Close the Property Palette, and then rerun the form to update the record.
